Marco Guardi

Marco Guardi has over 25 years of experience in risk management and insurance. Marco is currently the Vice President of Risk Control Services at Sedgwick, where they lead a team and is responsible for designing and developing risk control strategies for various pools. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director of Risk Services at the Alliance of Schools for Cooperative Insurance Programs, where they developed innovative risk management programs for educational institutions. Marco has also held leadership positions at Gallagher, Orange County Sanitation District, Keenan and Associates, Arthur J. Gallagher, and various California State University campuses. With extensive expertise in risk management, Marco has successfully implemented cost-saving initiatives, reduced liability and loss exposures, and managed complex insurance programs.

Marco Guardi earned a Masters in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton, from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Occupational Health from California State University, Northridge, from 1989 to 1991. In addition, Marco Guardi holds several certifications including Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI), obtained in 2015; Property and Casualty Broker - Agent from the California Department of Insurance, obtained in November 2006; and Associate in Risk Management from The Institutes, obtained in 2002.
