Irene McAleese is an experienced professional with a varied career history. Irene began their career in 1997 as a Training Co-ordinator and Registered Workplace Health & Safety Officer at Site Safe Health Safety & Risk Management Consultants. Irene then moved to Queensland Rail in 1998 as a Senior Organisation Development Adviser. In 2004, they took on the role of HR Manager at BT, followed by a position as Consulting Manager at Accenture in 2007. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Masters Student (part-time) & Maternity Leave at Deakin University. In 2019, they joined Cycling Industries Europe as a Member Board Of Directors. Most recently, they have been Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at See.Sense since 2013.

Irene McAleese has a diverse educational background. Irene completed a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from Griffith University in 1997, with a double major in Applied Psychology and Work & Health. Irene then went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Australian HR Institute in 2002. In 2011, they earned a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Deakin University. In 2014, they completed the Springboard Accelerator from Connect - Catalyst Inc. In 2017, they completed the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses Entrepreneurship Programme - Cohort 4 from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. In 2016-2017, they completed the Ignite Accelerator from PWC. In 2019-2020, they completed the Accelerator Programme from Ulster Bank/Natwest.
