Irene Atuhairwe

Irene Atuhairwe has a diverse work experience in the field of global health and program management. Irene is currently serving as the Country Director at Seed Global Health since October 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Deputy Country Director at Seed Global Health from September 2020 to November 2021. Irene also worked as a Nursing Advisor/Consultant at Seed Global Health from March 2019 to September 2020.

Before joining Seed Global Health, Irene worked at Peace Corps as a Program Manager-Global Health Service Partnership from May 2015 to December 2018. Prior to that, they were a Program Officer at Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau from February 2012 to April 2015. Irene's early experience includes working as a Program Officer at Catholic Relief Services from November 2005 to January 2012.

Irene Atuhairwe pursued their education at Makerere University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from 2001 to 2005. Later, they enrolled in the university again and completed a Master's degree in Public Health from 2008 to 2011.
