Rachel Simons is currently the Co-Founder of Friend in Store, a media and membership platform for independent brick & mortar businesses. Rachel has been in this role since June 2023. Prior to this, they were the Co-founder and CEO of Seed + Mill since July 2015. From December 2013 to September 2015, they served as the Head of HR (News, TV & ABC Resources) at Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Before that, they were the Head of Employee Relations at the same company from November 2012 to December 2013. Rachel worked as the Corporate Counsel & Group Sustainability Leader at Fairfax Media from September 2004 to October 2012. Rachel started their legal career as a Senior Associate at Minter Ellison from February 2001 to September 2004, and prior to that, they worked as a Lawyer at the same firm from November 2001 to April 2002. Rachel began their career as a Lawyer at Weil Gotshal and Manges from February 2000 to December 2000.
Rachel Simons completed their Bachelor of Arts in Law with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney from 1995 to 2000. Rachel then pursued a Master's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from New York University from 2015 to 2016. Prior to their university studies, they attended Moriah College until 1993, although the specific degree or field of study are not provided.
