James Kaelan is an accomplished writer and director with extensive experience in the film and publishing industries. Currently serving as a Writer/Director at Allusionist Pictures since October 2017, James is also a Co-Founder of Seed&Spark, where editing of the print publication BRIGHT IDEAS takes place. Previous roles include Director of Development and Acquisitions at Wevr and Managing Editor for MovieMaker Magazine, the world's largest independent film magazine. James co-founded and edited Flatmancrooked Publishing, noted for its innovative contributions to the small press sector. Academic credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Davis.
