Karen Fermo

Karen Fermo is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in design operations, academia, and curatorial practices. Currently serving as the Director and Curator at Kart Projects since 2010, Karen has led business development, marketing strategies, human resources, and curated multiple exhibition projects. Additionally, Karen holds the position of Principal Design Operations Specialist at SEEK and previously operated as a Lecturer and Discipline Leader at Swinburne University of Technology, where responsibilities included curriculum leadership, teaching, and fostering industry partnerships. With an academic background including a Master of Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching, Karen is recognized for contributions to design education and has received teaching awards for excellence in this area.
