Fritz Krainer

Fritz Krainer is responsible for leading the Engineering group at Seek Thermal. He was born in Austria and grew up in Santa Monica where he surfed and played tennis in High School. Fritz later graduated from UCSB with a major in Physics and then worked at Bruker Nano/Veeco/Digital Instruments for 18 years focusing on scientific instrumentation. Most recently, he spent 6 years as Head of Engineering, LiDAR at Continental Automotive working for Autonomous Mobility, a division which focuses on technology for self-driving cars. Fritz helped lead the team to production of the first Automotive-grade high-resolution LiDAR for a major OEM in late 2021. Outside of work, his interests include volleyball, surfing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
