Elliott Crosby's work experience includes roles at various companies and organizations. In 2006, Crosby worked as a Laboratory Assistant at British Sugar. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as an Actor and took on additional responsibilities such as technical assistance, set construction, ushering, and sales at Red Rose Chain Theatre Company. In 2010, Crosby served as a Student Ambassador at the University of Leeds. They then worked as a Technical Assistant at Getech in 2013. That same year, they also held the position of Business Support Administrator at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu. In 2014, Crosby worked as a Peer Review Assistant at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, followed by a role as a General Labourer at Farrell Commercial Construction. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Client Service Advisor and later as a Senior Advisor Systems at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. From 2017 onwards, Crosby embarked on a career at Seequent, starting as a Software Tester and progressing to roles such as Application Specialist, Senior Application Specialist, and currently as a Technical Support Team Lead.

Elliott Crosby completed a Mgeol, BSc Geological Sciences (International) degree in Geology at the University of Leeds from 2009 to 2013. In addition, they also studied at Victoria University of Wellington from 2011 to 2012, earning the same degree in Geology. Elliott holds a certification in Wilderness First Aid from High Peak First Aid, obtained in January 2011.
