Bryan Qiu has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Bryan started their professional career in 2012 as a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor at the Town of Richmond Hill. After that, they worked as a QA Analyst at Metroland Media Group for four months in 2014. In the same year, they also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo during the fall semester.
In 2015, Bryan worked as a Web Application Developer at PureFacts Financial Solutions Inc. for four months. Bryan then had two internships at Google in 2016, serving as a Software Engineering Intern from January to April and again from August to December.
In 2017, Bryan interned at Facebook as a Software Engineer Intern for four months. Later that year, they became a Student Ambassador at the University of Waterloo, a role they held until August 2018.
Starting from November 2018 until July 2021, Bryan worked as a Software Engineer at Google. Currently, they are employed at Seesaw Learning as a Software Engineer from July 2021.
Bryan Qiu obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Richmond Hill High School in the years 2009 to 2013. Bryan then attended the University of Waterloo from 2013 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Computer Science with a focus on Mathematics and Computer Science. During the same period, Bryan also pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in Business Administration and Management. In 2017, they briefly studied at the National University of Singapore, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Business Administration.
