Carla Thomas

Carla Thomas is an experienced Councillor at Sefton Council, actively serving since May 2016 and currently chairing the Overview and Scrutiny Committee for Adult Social Care and Health. Since May 2018, Carla has held the position of Deputy Cabinet Member for Policy Reform & Resources under LCR Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram. Professional legal experience includes roles as a Conveyancing Fee Earner at Johnstons Associates & Gowlings Solicitors and as a Conveyancing Assistant at Simpson Millar. Additionally, Carla served as Deputy Senior Governor at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust and was the Chairperson of the Merseyside Police and Crime Panel. Carla's academic qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) in Law, Medicine & Healthcare from the University of Liverpool, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Law with French Language & French Law from the University of Central Lancashire, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
