Jie Wu is a data scientist who has won numerous awards for their work in the field. Jie is currently the co-founder and CDO of Segmed, a data science company. Prior to Segmed, they worked as the lead data scientist at Starcom, where they won several gold medals for their work in human protein classification, pet adoption prediction, and IEEE fraud detection. Jie has also won silver medals for their work in audio tagging, understanding clouds from satellite images, and catheter and line position prediction. In addition to their work in the private sector, Jie has also won bronze medals for their work in predicting molecular properties, identifying salt deposits, and classifying tweets by sentiment.

Jie Wu has a PhD in Physics from UCL, an MSc in Atomic/Molecular Physics from Jilin University, and a BSc in Physics from Jilin University. Jie also has certifications in data science methodology, what is data science, improving deep neural networks, neural networks and deep learning, programming for everybody, Python data structures, structuring machine learning projects, using databases with Python, using Python to access web data, machine learning, and Facebook certified marketing science professional.
