Gerrit Thompson

Gerrit Thompson is a seasoned Senior Technical Writer with extensive experience in product documentation. At Seismic, Gerrit has been contributing since January 2021. Previously, at TIBCO Jaspersoft from September 2015 to August 2020, Gerrit developed comprehensive documentation for JasperReports Server and JasperReports IO, including user guides and API reference materials. Prior to that, from February 2008 to September 2015, Gerrit worked at Cisco Systems, where responsibilities included documentation for the Cisco Identity Services Engine and Cisco IronPort Email Security appliance, along with training new hires. Gerrit also has experience as a Technical Writer at Infor and Hansen Information Technologies, where responsibilities included creating documentation for CRM and asset management software. Gerrit holds a Master of Arts in English from California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Sonoma State University.
