Sulan Mlynarek

Sulan Mlynarek is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in labor relations and union support, currently serving as the Lead Researcher at SEIU Healthcare 1199NW since March 2016. In this role, Mlynarek directs a four-person research team, trains new researchers, and aligns research activities with organizational priorities to enhance contracts and union conditions for 32,000 union members and unorganized workers across Washington and Montana. Previously, Mlynarek worked as a Researcher at SEIU Local 73-Illinois and Indiana, providing critical support for collective bargaining and developing corporate research strategies. Mlynarek's earlier roles include Research Consultant, Graduate Assistant, and Organizer, culminating in a Master's degree in Economics from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Alverno College.
