Director Of Strategic Communications at SEIU Healthcare

Corey Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They began their career as a Managing Editor for Humberlife Newspaper, where they edited and assigned articles. Corey then worked as an Editorial Intern and Freelancer for The Hockey News, writing and editing content for the magazine and website. They later joined Canada's Wonderland as a Senior Operations Administrative Supervisor. Moving into the broadcasting industry, Corey worked at Rogers Sportsnet as a Broadcast Associate and Senior Broadcast Associate, writing highlight packs and operating the news ticker. Currently, Corey holds positions at SEIU Healthcare, first as a Brand Journalist and then as the Head of Strategic Communications. In these roles, they are responsible for developing integrated communications strategies, managing internal and external communications, and leading major projects such as launching a mobile application and a union Intranet.

Corey Johnson received a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Guelph-Humber from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Clarke High School between 2001 and 2005.
