Tom Fraser

Tom Fraser is a skilled researcher and educator with a strong focus on long-term care and labor market analysis. Currently serving as Research Lead and Research Associate at SEIU Healthcare since May 2022, Tom advocates for improved working standards in the healthcare sector. In addition, Tom acts as a Board Trustee for the Nursing Homes and Related Industries Pension Plan, providing oversight for a union-trusteed pension plan in Ontario. Previous roles include Grievance Officer for PSAC Local 12500, where Tom represented teaching and research assistants at Concordia University, as well as Teaching Assistant at Concordia, contributing to courses in social history. Tom has also engaged in research on deindustrialization as a Research Assistant and has experience coaching debate and public speaking at Branksome Hall. Tom holds a Master of Arts in History from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Geography from the University of Toronto.
