Cindy Doyel

Cindy's work experience includes various roles in different industries. Cindy is currently a Team Lead for Contact Tracers at the CA Department of Public Health, where they help track and isolate Covid-19 cases. In their previous role as an Information Technology Specialist at the California Department of Technology, Cindy saved the agency $5 million through strategic purchases and developed critical management plans. Cindy also served as a Union Job Steward and President of DLC 790 at SEIU Local 1000, representing IT staff and negotiating contracts with the state. Additionally, Cindy has experience as an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Inc. and as a Travel Agent at GT Trends Inc. Travel Agency. Cindy was involved in Sacramento HDI as a Historian and held multiple roles at the Legislative Data Center, including Problem Officer and Project Manager. Early in their career, Cindy worked as a Help Desk Analyst at Sutter Health and as a General Partner and Operator at Sierra Micro, selling and supporting computer programs for unions. Cindy also served as a Controller and Supervisor at California Commercial, managing properties and handling accounting tasks.

Cindy Doyel began their education in 1980 when they obtained their high school diploma in General Studies from Rio Americano High School. Cindy then attended California State University-Sacramento in 1982-1983 for undergraduate work, but did not obtain a degree. In 1983-1984, they attended MTI College and earned two Associate's degrees in Computer Programming & Accounting. Cindy also studied Word Processing during this time.

In terms of additional certifications, Cindy obtained CPR, First Aid, AED, and Blood-Borne Pathogens certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in October 1982. More recently, they obtained the ITIL Version 2011 certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in July 2014. Additionally, in April 2001, they became an MOUS Certification Expert in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word through Microsoft. Cindy also earned the HDI Support Center Analyst (HDI-SCA) certification from Think HDI in April 2001.
