Celestino Chora

Celestino Chora has extensive experience in both the public sector and military service. Currently serving as a Union Steward at SEIU Local 721 since October 2015, Chora represents employees in the Department of Children and Family Services. In addition to this role, Chora has worked as an Intermediate Typist Clerk for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services since 2013, and briefly served as a Disaster Service Worker for Los Angeles County in mid-2020. Military experience includes a tenure with the California Army National Guard (2007-2016) as a Cannon Crew Member and with the US Army in various capacities, including Entry Identification Team Member and Radio Transmission Officer, contributing to operations along the southern border. Chora's educational background includes attendance at Los Angeles Valley College from 2008 to 2023.
