Gilda Valdez

Gilda Valdez has extensive experience in the labor movement, starting in 1977. Gilda has served as the Chief of Staff at SEIU Local 721 since 2011. Prior to that, they were a Social, Racial & Economic Justice Leader in the labor movement. From 2013 to 2017, Valdez held the position of President of the Los Angeles Organizing Committee at Fight for 15, Fast Food, McDonalds. Additionally, they served as the Founding Chair of SEIU International Latino Caucus at Service Employees International Union from 2006 to 2017. Valdez also held the role of Regional Kaiser Director - Central Valley at SEIU UHW from 2010 to 2011.
