Izabela Miltko-Ivkovich

Izabela Miltko-Ivkovich has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Izabela currently holds the position of Vice President & Chief of Staff at SEIU Local 1 since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked at SEIU as a Communications Director from September 2015 to October 2020, and as a Media Strategist from February 2015 to September 2015. Izabela also served as the Deputy Press Secretary at Quinn for Illinois from March 2014 to February 2015. In addition, they worked as a Communications Manager at the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity from November 2013 to February 2015. Before that, they were a Communications Specialist at SEIU from May 2011 to November 2013. Izabela also gained experience in the political field as a member of the press office and media outreach team at the Office of U.S. Senator Richard J. Durbin from January 2011 to May 2011. Izabela started their career as a Statehouse Reporter Intern at WCIA Channel 3 in January 2010 and later worked as an On Air Reporter at Illini Media from October 2006 to May 2009. Izabela had internships at the Strategic Communications Bureau in the Illinois Attorney General's Office from June 2008 to August 2008 and at WCIA Channel 3 News as an On Air Reporter/Anchor Intern from January 2008 to May 2008.

Izabela Miltko-Ivkovich pursued their education starting from 2005 to 2009 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. During this time, they focused their studies on Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education at the University of Illinois Springfield from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a Master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting.
