Barry Spofford

Barry Spofford has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Barry started their career as a Sales Representative at Roofers Mart Inc in 1987 and later became a Regional Manager at Seal-Dry in 1990. From 1996 to 1997, they worked as a Regional Manager at Johns Manville. In 1997, they became the Owner of Construction Products Group, Inc. Barry then co-founded Tradewinds Marketing Group LLC in 2001 and served as the President until 2006. During this time, they played a significant role in establishing the company as the largest Manufacturers Rep agency in the outdoor retail market. In 2005, they founded TourGear and served as its CEO until 2009. Under their leadership, TourGear became a leading supplier of technical apparel and PFDs for boat manufacturers. In 2009, they joined GCI as an Executive Vice President, where they took on various responsibilities including strategic planning, sales operations, and vendor management. Currently, Barry Spofford works as the Vice President of Business Development at Select Communications since June 2018.

Barry Spofford attended Lenoir-Rhyne University from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Economics.
