Andrew Laing

Andrew Laing is an experienced irrigation manager and designer with a comprehensive background in managing and designing irrigation systems across various agricultural settings. Currently serving as the Irrigation Manager at Select Harvests Limited since April 2022, Andrew oversees a 1008 ha almond orchard. Prior roles include Irrigation Controller at Olam, managing a 2400 ha almond orchard, and providing irrigation design and advisory services at Irrig-8 Irrigation Solutions. Andrew's expertise includes GPS surveying, irrigation system design utilizing IRRICAD and AutoCAD, and project management. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Harare Polytechnic.
