Taryn Atkinson DNP, RN has extensive work experience starting from 1996 to the present. Taryn currently holds the role of Senior Director of Clinical Development at Select Medical since January 2022. Before that, they worked as the Director of Clinical Development at Select Medical from October 2017 to January 2022. From October 2015 to October 2017, Taryn was a Clinical Leadership Development Specialist at Select Medical. Prior to joining Select Medical, they served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Select Medical from April 2013 to October 2015.

Taryn Atkinson also has work experience at Mount Carmel Health System where they worked as the Manager of Diagnostic/Interventional Services from November 2012 to March 2013 and as the Director of EP Lab from September 2009 to November 2012.

Additionally, Taryn Atkinson worked as a Nursing Instructor at Central Ohio Technical College from April 2009 to September 2009.

Furthermore, Taryn Atkinson has experience at Genesis Healthcare System where they served as the Manager of Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit from May 2006 to April 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Staff RN from March 2002 to May 2006. Taryn started their career as a Radiologic Technologist at Genesis Healthcare System from May 1998 to March 2002.

Taryn Atkinson DNP, RN obtained an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Radiologic Technology from Muskingum Area Technical College in 1996. Taryn then earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Ohio University-Zanesville Campus in 2002. Taryn continued their education at Wheeling University, where they received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 and a Masters Degree in Nursing Administration in 2009. Finally, Taryn Atkinson completed their highest level of education at The Ohio State University, obtaining a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2015. Taryn also holds a certification as a Nurse Executive - Advanced from the American Nurse Credentialing Center.
