Humberto Rivera

Humberto Rivera has a diverse work experience in the field of bovine reproduction and sales. Humberto started their career at Accelerated Genetics in 2005 as a Bovine Reproduction Specialist, providing technical support on dairy cattle reproduction. Humberto then went on to become the Reproduction Services Manager, where they developed and coordinated a reproduction support program across the US and Latin America.

In 2013, Humberto transitioned to the role of International Sales Manager for Latin America at Accelerated Genetics. In this role, they were responsible for pricing and sales, budget planning, and sales support for the South American markets. Humberto also designed specific marketing strategies to meet the genetic needs and market structure of the beef and dairy cattle industry in each country.

In 2017, Humberto joined Select Sires Inc. as the Latin America Area Director of Marketing. Humberto has been responsible for overseeing marketing activities in the Latin American region.

Prior to their work at Accelerated Genetics and Select Sires Inc., Humberto worked as an Extension Outreach Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004, where they provided outreach and education in their field of expertise.

Humberto Rivera obtained a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from Universidad de Caldas, where they studied from 1983 to 1989. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in this field from 2001 to 2004.
