Jaime Cobo Vélez

Jaime Cobo Vélez has an extensive work experience spanning several roles and companies. Jaime is currently serving as the Vice President Sales Pharma at Selectchemie AG since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Sales at Rohrbogen AG from March 2021 to May 2023. Jaime also held the position of Vice President Sales Europe and Asia at Smart Skin Technologies from August 2019 to March 2021. Before that, they were the Head of Sales and Marketing at Wilco AG - Leak Detection and Inspection Equipment, where they achieved significant growth in sales and successfully launched a pharmaceutical inspection technology. Jaime also has experience as a Sales Area Manager at Gericke and held various roles at Holcim, including Head of Technical Training, Plant Manager Deputy, CAPEX Project Manager, Business Development Manager, Assistant to Cement General Manager, and Project and Maintenance Coordinator.

Jaime Cobo Vélez pursued their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, graduating between 1985 and 1989. Later on, they went to ETH Zürich, where they obtained a Master's degree in Business Management and Administration, studying from 1993 to 1995. In addition, Jaime attended IE Business School in the year 2000 and completed an Executive MBA program specializing in Business, Management, Marketing, and related supportive services.
