Mary Junell is an experienced Visual Information Specialist and Graphic Multimedia Specialist at the Selective Service System since January 2022. Mary holds a Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communication from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, obtained in May 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Advertising from Appalachian State University, completed in 2021. Additionally, Mary has completed various courses at the Defense Information School, including Intermediate Photojournalism.

The Selective Service System is charged with providing the Department of Defense trained and untrained personnel in the event of a national emergency. Almost all male citizens and immigrants between the agees of 18-25 must register with the Selective Service. The Selective Service also provides alternative service options for concientious objectors.
