Nguyen Nguyen has a wealth of experience in the engineering and business fields. In 2003, they began their career as an intern at Petrosains Science Discovery Center. In 2004, they moved on to become a Mechanical Designer at PETRONAS. In 2005, they were a Mechatronics Engineer at Proton. From 2007 to 2014, they were a Graduate Assistant at the University of Michigan where they performed research in autonomous vehicle, fuel cells and energy-driven self-assembly systems. Nguyen also developed 2-wheel self-balancing electric vehicles from scratch and was awarded the Michigan Engineering Distinguished Leadership Award. During this time, they also took various MBA classes, was a member of Michigan Consulting Club, a McKinsey Insight program finalist, and advised a team that won the Michigan business competition. In 2014, they became a Product Manager at the Viettel Research and Development Institute. In 2016, they were promoted to Project Director at the Viettel Aerospace Institute - VTX. Finally, in 2018, they founded and became the CEO of Selex Motors.
Nguyen Nguyen completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS between 2007 and 2012. Nguyen then earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2009. Afterward, they pursued a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, which they completed in 2013. Prior to this, they attended Hanoi University of Technology from 2001 to 2002, though they did not receive a degree.
