Paul Wagstaff has a diverse work experience in the agriculture sector. Paul is currently the Head of the Global Technical Advisory and Research Team at Self Help Africa, a position they have held since September 2021. Before that, they worked at the same organization as a Senior Agriculture Advisor from February 2017 to August 2021.

Prior to joining Self Help Africa, Paul worked at Concern Worldwide for ten years, starting as an Agriculture Advisor in January 2007 and staying in that role until January 2017.

Paul also gained experience working as an Agriculture Advisor in Uganda for Horizont3000, Austrian Development Service from February 2002 to March 2006.

In addition, they served as an EU Agriculture Expert in Nepal for Symonds Group (UK)/ TYPSA (Spain) from November 2000 to November 2001.

Overall, Paul Wagstaff has a strong background in agriculture advisory roles, with experience in both international organizations and regional development services.

Paul Wagstaff obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Biology from Aberystwyth University, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Tropical Agroforestry at Bangor University, which they completed between 1999 and 2000.
