Allison Freeman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in impact assessment and community capital. Currently serving as the Director of Impact Assessment at Self-Help Credit Union since January 2022, Allison previously worked as a Senior Research Associate at the UNC Center for Community Capital from January 2006 to January 2022. Allison's early career included advocacy for domestic violence survivors at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office from 1993 to 1995. Academically, Allison holds a Doctorate in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Cornell University, as well as Master's degrees in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in Development Studies from The London School of Economics and Political Science. Additionally, Allison earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Mount Holyoke College.
