Jesse Baskir

Jesse Baskir is an experienced Information Technology Project Manager currently with Self-Help Credit Union since June 2020. As a long-term volunteer for The People's Channel of Chapel Hill and Durham since January 2002, Jesse has provided support in website management, data systems, grant writing, and media production, including public access television and documentaries for non-profit organizations. Prior work at RTI International spanned from 1993 to 2020, culminating as Director of the SSES Quality Office, and included roles in operations, environmental information systems, and project management, focusing on environmental and IT projects for various clients. Jesse's earlier experience with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency involved managing hazardous waste enforcement cases and pollution prevention programs from 1988 to 1993. Jesse holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Chemical Engineering and an MS in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from North Carolina State University, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University.
