Oscar Rodriguez is a Creative Art Director and Brand Strategist at Identity L.A since March 2021. Alongside this role, Oscar has been serving as the Lead Artist at SELF-HELP GRAPHICS AND ART, INC. since June 2014, and as an Illustration Instructor for the City of L.A Summer Night Lights program since June 2008. With experience as an Illustrator specializing in Storyboards, Concept Art, Fine Art, and Graphic Design at Guezart since May 2002, Oscar brings a rich creative background. Founded in 1970 as "Art, Inc.", and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1973 as "Self Help Graphics & Art" (SHG), SHG is dedicated to the production, interpretation and distribution of prints and other art media by Chicana/o and Latinx artists. Our multidisciplinary, intergenerational programs promote artistic excellence and empower our community by providing access to space, tools, training and capital.
