Karthic Hariharan

Karthic Hariharan is an engineering manager at Self. Prior to this, they were a data engineer at RetailMeNot, Inc. from January 2013 to March 2016. There, they focused on creating a data ecosystem with Amazon S3 as the source of record for data on RetailMeNot and allowing for flexible consumption of data into any analytics technology (Redshift, Hadoop, etc.). Karthic also developed tools to ease sharing of datasets across data marts with a specific focus on a data dictionary to spread awareness in RetailMeNot.

Prior to working at RetailMeNot, Karthic interned at Amazon in the Wishlists and Performance Team from June 2012 to September 2012. There, they designed and implemented a notification feature for Universal Wishlist Items. Before that, they were a graduate student at Northwestern University from September 2011 to December 2012. Karthic's first internship was at Alcatel-Lucent R&D Center from January 2011 to May 2011 where they worked as an Intern- Systems Software.

Karthic Hariharan holds a Masters in Computer Science from Northwestern University and a B Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.

Karthic Hariharan reports to Kelvin Pho, Chief Technology Officer. Karthic Hariharan works with Andy Helms - Design Lead, Gaby Lopez - Engineering Manager.
