Lucy Hughes

Lucy Hughes is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in strategy, planning, and project management within the nuclear industry and aerospace sector. Currently serving as the Asset Investment Strategy, Planning and Risk Lead at Sellafield Ltd since September 2014, Lucy is responsible for managing a £2 billion investment strategy for ageing assets while engaging diverse stakeholders and integrating financial, risk, and strategic decisions. Lucy's previous roles at Sellafield include Enterprise Strategy and Planning Lead and Supply Chain Transformation Programme Manager. Prior to Sellafield, Lucy held significant positions at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, EDF, and Airbus, where leadership in project controls, procurement, and resource management was demonstrated. Lucy's academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry and a Masters in Surface Chemistry and Colloids from the University of Bristol.
