Marisa Luera

Marisa Luera is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy development and program management within the aging and disability services and managed care sectors. Currently serving as Director at Sellers Dorsey since December 2019, Marisa leads client engagements, offering strategic recommendations and conducting research to enhance policy implementation. Previously, Marisa held various roles at Texas Health and Human Services, overseeing Medicaid managed care programs and ensuring effective service delivery for millions of members. Additional experience includes managing the Covering Kids & Families program for The Southern Institute on Children and Families and leading initiatives at the Texas Association of Community Health Centers. Marisa began their career as a budget analyst for the Texas Legislature, contributing to the establishment of the Children's Health Insurance Program in Texas. Marisa holds a Master's degree in Socio-cultural Anthropology from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Texas A&M University.
