Scott Williams is a partner and attorney at Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek, where extensive experience in environmental and land use issues has been demonstrated since September 2003. Scott specializes in advising developer clients and negotiating with government agencies regarding environmental and entitlement matters. Prior to this role, Scott served as a Senior Trial Attorney in the Environmental Defense Section of the United States Department of Justice from 1989 to 2003, managing significant litigation related to federal environmental laws and representing the federal government in major cost recovery actions. Additionally, Scott began legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Educationally, Scott holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Harvard University.
