Rachel Lau

Rachel Lau is a sustainability analyst with a strong background in energy commercialization and low carbon alternatives at Sembcorp Industries Ltd since February 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an analyzer engineer at ExxonMobil from August 2020 to February 2023, and mentoring graduate students at the National University of Singapore from August 2020 to January 2023. Rachel also held positions as head mentor and research writer at the National University of Singapore, focusing on techno-economical analysis, and contributed to research on CO2 reduction as a research scientist at the same university. Additional experience includes a chemical engineering internship at Philips and a vice presidency at the NUS Students' Union. Rachel began professional training with a tax internship at the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore and a Joint Minor in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Toronto.
