Valerie Lee

Valerie Lee has extensive work experience in the energy industry, with a focus on corporate affairs, business planning, and strategic initiatives. Valerie is currently serving as the Head of Corporate Affairs at Sembcorp Industries Ltd since February 2021, and previously held the position of Head of Business Planning & Strategic Initiatives from October 2019 to February 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Deputy Director of Commercial Energy Platform at SP Group from June 2019 to October 2019. Valerie also worked at Singtel as the Director of Energy Business from May 2018 to June 2019. Before joining Singtel, they held various roles at Sembcorp Power, including General Manager from January 2016 to May 2018, and Assistant Manager from July 2013 to December 2015. Valerie started their career at Sembcorp Cogen Pte Ltd as a Senior Trader from October 2009 to June 2013 and briefly worked as an Engineer at Sembcorp Utilities from July 2009 to September 2009. Valerie also has experience in the education sector, having worked as a Relief Teacher at the Ministry of Education of Singapore from January 2005 to July 2005.

Valerie Lee completed their Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan from 2005 to 2008. Valerie then pursued a Masters degree in Engineering Management at Duke University from 2008 to 2009.
