Gwen Markham

Gwen Markham is serving in her first term as a member of the Oakland County Commission for District 9, Novi and Northville. Prior to that, she was a member of the Novi City Council from 2013 to 2018. A former automotive/aerospace manufacturing executive, she has served as an advocate for women, public transit, and preservation of the natural environment. She serves on the following Board of Commissioners Committees: Finance and Infrastructure – Vice Chairperson; Health, Safety, and Human Services – member; Airport Committee – Chairperson; Financial Audit Committee – Chairperson; Coordinated Zoning Committee – Chairperson; Human Trafficking Task Force – Vice Chairperson; Invasive Species Task Force – Vice Chairperson; Reapportionment Study Group – member; Walled Lake Lake Board – member.
