Sirisha Uppalapati is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in urban planning and demographic analysis. Currently serving as the Demographic Coordinator at SEMCOG since January 2007, Sirisha specializes in analyzing and forecasting demographic and economic trends in Southeast Michigan, while providing strategies for planning, transportation, and economic development through Geographic Information Systems and advanced land use simulation modeling. Previous roles include Transportation Planner at St. Clair County and Regional Planner at the West Michigan Regional Planning Commission, where Sirisha also worked as a Land Use Planner and GIS Specialist. Sirisha holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with a focus on Urban Planning from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
