John McDougall

Vice President Global Sales at Semex

John McDougall has a diverse work experience in the agricultural industry. John began their career as an Agriculture Manager at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in 2004. Following that, McDougall joined Alta Genetics Inc. in 2005 as an International Sales Manager for the Asia-Pacific region. John played a key role in developing Alta's China business plan, resulting in the establishment of a successful subsidiary company in China. McDougall then joined Semex in 2007 as the Director of International Sales and Business Development, where they oversaw and executed Semex's global business strategies in the Asia-Pacific markets and ensured the success and growth of their subsidiary company in China. In 2018, they advanced to the role of Vice President of Global Operations at Semex, and most recently, they have taken on the position of Vice President of Global Sales.

John McDougall began their education in 1996 at the University of Guelph, where they pursued a Diploma in Agriculture Business until 1998. John then continued their studies at the University of Guelph and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from 1998 to 2002. After that, they attended the Schulich School of Business at York University, where they completed an Executive Sales Management degree in 2011. McDougall's most recent education experience was at the Ivey Business School at Western University, where they participated in the Ivey Executive Program starting in 2014.
