Tom Petr

Tom Petr is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex infrastructure projects. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Semgrep since July 2022, Tom previously held various leadership roles at HubSpot from February 2012 to April 2022, including Senior Engineering Manager for Platform as a Service, where Tom oversaw teams responsible for the deployment of a vast array of web services. Tom also has experience as a Tech Lead in multiple areas, such as Infrastructure and Growth, and played a key role in enhancing HubSpot's trial conversion rates and application components. Earlier in their career, Tom worked as an SDET at Microsoft and founded Schedr, a company focused on intuitive course scheduling, which was later sold to CampusLIVE. Tom earned a degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
