Geir Wiksén

Geir Wiksén has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and positions.

Starting in 2002, they co-founded Brain Software and worked as a Partner/Senior Developer, where they developed a framework for document management applications and flow of information tools.

From 2003 to 2008, they joined Digimaker India Pvt. Ltd. as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Senior Technical Manager. Geir managed teams, handled product development, testing, and services, and also managed projects for major clients.

In 2008, Geir joined Itera Consulting as a Project Manager, overseeing large to mid-sized projects for private and government clients. Geir also managed offshore development teams in Ukraine, with a focus on Microsoft technologies and SharePoint projects.

From 2011 to 2014, they served as the Development Director at Fronter AS, where they managed four development teams in Oslo and six teams in India, totaling 48 developers. Their responsibilities included ensuring the delivery of development efforts on their learning management system (LMS) platform called Fronter.

From 2014 to 2021, Geir held various roles at Aller Media AS. Geir started as the CTO of SOL.no, overseeing development efforts for their products SOL.no and Kvasir.no. Later, they became the CTO of Aller Media, leading the development and technology department, including a team of 31 developers. The largest brand in their portfolio was dagbladet.

In 2019, Geir briefly served as a Board Member for Motimate, a company under Kahoot!.

In 2021, Geir joined Frontbyte as the CEO, where they held the position until August of the same year. Geir then transitioned to become the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Semine, a platform for automation. In August 2022, they also took on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the same company.

Overall, Geir has extensive experience in leadership and management positions, particularly in the technology and software development sectors. Geir has a track record of successfully delivering projects, managing teams, and overseeing the development of various digital solutions.

Geir Wiksén obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech between 1999 and 2003. Later, between 2006 and 2010, they pursued a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, specializing in Project Management.
