Johnson began their career in the energy industry in 2001 as Vice President of the Midwest Business Unit for Mirant. In 2002, they were promoted to Vice President/President of Mirant Mid-Atlantic, responsible for the corporation's generation portfolio in the Greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In 2006, Johnson joined ODEC as Senior Vice President and COO, responsible for all power supply and operations activities for the company. Lisa remained with ODEC until 2013, when they were appointed CEO & General Manager of Seminole Electric Cooperative.
Lisa D Johnson has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and materials science from Duke University.
