Whitney Sapienza has extensive experience in environmental resource management, currently serving as the Director of the Environmental Resource Management Department for the Seminole Tribe of Florida since 2011, after holding various roles including Assistant Director and Environmental Protection Specialist III. Responsibilities have included coordinating compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), managing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data, and conducting field evaluations of environmental impacts. Previous roles include Broward County Sea Turtle Specialist and Broward County Recycling Specialist, focusing on conservation efforts and recycling education. Whitney holds a Master’s degree in Marine Biology from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Watershed Hydrology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
