Chris Birmingham

Chris Birmingham is a Full Stack / AI Engineer at Semio since October 2023, focusing on software development and generative AI integration for robotic interactivity. Previously, Chris served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Southern California from August 2018 to May 2023 and worked at Anzu Partners as an Associate from December 2015 to October 2021, contributing to investments in industrial technologies. Experience also includes a role as Director of AI Research at Slyce, enhancing image recognition for retail, and an Associate position at Axsun Technologies, where Chris participated in high precision photonics projects. Earlier roles include internships at Boeing and research at Georgia Institute of Technology, along with community service as a Camp Counselor and soccer referee. Chris holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, an MRes in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from the University of Bristol, and a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Gonzaga University.
