Renan MacEdo

Renan Macedo is a skilled Data Scientist with extensive experience in analyzing various forms of imagery to gain insights into plant health and environmental impacts. Currently, at Semios since February 2021, Renan designs and implements AI solutions, focusing on classification models and spatio-temporal time-series analysis. Previously, at Agrosmart S.A from January 2018 to September 2020, work included developing predictive models for detecting diseases and estimating soil parameters as well as creating a web application for satellite image analysis. Renan's background also includes academic roles, having lectured on Statistics and Experimentation at Faculdade Araguaia and conducted research on agricultural pests at FUNDECC/UFLA. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Plant Protection from Universidade Federal de Goiás, a fellowship in Plant Disease Modelling from The University of Salford, and degrees in Agronomy and Machine Learning.
