Sara Given

Sara Given has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Sara began their career in 2004 as a Science Facilitator at Science World British Columbia and later transitioned to the Vancouver Aquarium as an Aquarium Biologist. In 2015, Sara started freelancing as a Web Developer before joining BasicGov Systems, Inc. in 2016. At BasicGov Systems, Inc., Sara started as a junior front-end developer and quickly grew to handle full-stack development across various languages and technologies. Sara played a key role in the company's adoption of Salesforce's Lightning JavaScript framework and UI experience. Currently, Sara is working at Semios as a JavaScript Developer.

Sara Given completed a short-term course in Front-End Web Development at RED Academy in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Ecology from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 1999 to 2003.
