Vanessa Aguilera

Vanessa Aguilera has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Vanessa began their career in 2006 as an Immunology Department Summer Intern at Berlex Pharmaceuticals, where they developed a pharmacodynamic assay for multiple sclerosis patients. Vanessa then worked as an Undergrad Researcher at San Francisco State University, conducting basic science research on yeast and learning lab techniques in microbiology and biochemistry.

In 2009, Vanessa worked at both the UCSF SRTP (Summer Research Training Program) and the University of California San Francisco as a Pharmaceutical Sciences & Pharmacogenomics Department Intern and a Translational Cardiology Lab Researcher, respectively. Vanessa conducted research on gene associations and cardiovascular health, developing protocols and conducting experiments on cell lines.
