Grant Shepherd

Grant Shepherd has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of systems engineering. Grant is currently employed as a Principal Consultant at SEMP since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Harmonic Limited as a Principal Consultant and Senior Consultant from September 2020 to September 2022 and as a Lead Engineer - Systems Engineering at Baker Hughes from September 2019 to September 2020. From February 2018 to September 2019, Grant served as a Systems Engineering Manager at AKKA UK. Grant also held the positions of Systems Engineer (Contract) at both GE Aviation from August 2017 to February 2018 and Northrop Grumman from January 2017 to August 2017. Grant worked as a Senior Consultant at Altran UK from August 2013 to December 2016. Before that, they were a Senior Systems Engineer at BMT Defence Services Ltd from October 2012 to July 2013, where they were responsible for managing system requirements for a training facility for the Royal Navy. Grant started their career as a Systems Engineer (Contract) at TRW from August 2012 to October 2012 and as a Consultant Systems Engineer at Jacobs Sula from October 2009 to August 2012.

Grant Shepherd earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Laser Physics & Optoelectronics from the University of Strathclyde, which they attended from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they pursued an MPhil degree at the same university from 1999 to 2000, specializing in High Powered Single Frequency Lasers for Laser Cooling.
