Katie Nieri

Katie Nieri is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as Senior Manager of Strategic Communications at Sempra since May 2019. In this role, Katie enhances Sempra's reputation through various channels, including media relations and financial communications, while managing a team and collaborating with multiple internal divisions. Previous positions include Strategic Communications Manager at Sempra, where Katie developed integrated communications campaigns, and Public and Government Relations at General Dynamics NASSCO, where strategic communication plans were implemented. Additionally, Katie contributed to PRSA San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter as an Executive Committee member and was a finalist for the Herbert G. Klein Memorial Award in the LEAD San Diego program. Katie's foundational experience in public relations was gained at Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Public Relations and through an internship with Sundt Memorial Foundation, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from San Diego State University.
