Armando Mejia-Pascual

Armando Mejia-Pascual has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Semtech, where they are responsible for financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, and delivering operations support. Prior to this, they worked as the Division Controller for Fresh & Foods at Calavo Growers, where they supported the Vice President and General Manager in supervising accounting close processes and conducting cost reduction and capacity analysis.

Armando also has a long tenure at Semtech, where they served as the Operations / Quality / IT & BU Controller for nine years, providing financial partnership and guidance to various teams within the company. Armando has also worked as a Finance Manager at Fujitsu Ten de Mexico, implementing procedures such as Sarbanes-Oxley and improving cash flow and forecasting processes. Additionally, they have held positions as an Accounting Supervisor at LANDIS + GYR LIMITED and Wells Manufacturera de Mexico, where they implemented cost savings tracking processes and reduced closing cycles.

Before joining the private sector, Armando worked at FEMSA as an Operations Manager and Administrative Manager and as an Internal Auditor. Armando began their career as an Internal Auditor at Gobierno del Estado de Tamaulipas and gained experience as a Staff Accountant at Gas Station Gasocentro and CPA Firm de la Torre.

Armando Mejia-Pascual has an extensive education history in various fields of study. In 1994, they obtained a degree in Accounting and Finance from Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas, making him a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive). In 1999, they attended the Boston Academy of English to enhance their English language skills as a second language. In 2005, they pursued an MBA in Finance from Universidad Mexico Americana del Norte, which they completed in 2007. In 2009, they took a specialized course in Senior Management from the same university. Later, in 2015, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for California after attending Becker Professional Education from 2015 to 2016. In 2021, they acquired a certification in Merge & Acquisition from Columbia Business School. Furthermore, in 2022, Armando attended Harvard Business School for a brief period.
